Yeouido Park is one of the parks where local citizens relax and have short breaks in their busy and stressful days in their office. Yeouido Park has a beautiful landscape and its 229,538 m² area consists of 4 zones namely the Korean traditional woods garden, green area, cultural plaza, and natural ecological forest. This beautiful park is situated in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, in Seoul. The Yeouido island that Yeouido Park is located is also known as “Korea’s Manhattan” and their are many skyscrapers soaring high.

Here at Yeouido, tourist ans visitors will enjoy the scenic and leisurely view of Seoul Korea’s modern skyline and Nam-san from one of the cruise boats that ply between Yeouido lsland and Jamsil. The Yeouido Park has a beautiful and wonderful landscape of nature that is combined with culture and sports in its four zones. Local and foreign tourist will enjoy seeing the wonders of nature in the four main ares of Yeouido Park where they can also get a good glimpse of different aquatic plants and insects.

You will also enjoy sports in Yeouido Park such as the motor gliding, motorcar race, water skiing, bicycling, and Kite Flying. The bicycle path (2.4 km) and walking path (3.9 km) are the favorite spots of the Park. Yeouido Park is an excellent place for in-line skating and bike riding, but it’s usually crowded on weekends in spring.

Inside the Yeouido Park:

• Natural Ecology Pond: This pond is located in the natural ecological forest woods or forest inside Yeouido Park. Natural ecology pond has an area of eleven thousand pyoungs or so. In this area, wild animals such as squirrels can be seen. But some wild animals that are beaing released here are rarely can be seen.
• Samojung: Located in the Traditional Wood inside Yeouido Park, see the amazing picturesque view of Jidang. You will never miss a fitness trail, which has a width of 70cm and a length of 30M, by walking bare-footed.
• Jidang: Enjoy the view of the Korean Traditional Pond called Jidang where you can also see the surviving Korean-born trees. Jidang is belong to the Korean Traditional Wood that can be found inside the Yeouido Park. Visitors and tourist will see the beautiful landscape, culture and spirit of countryside of Korea in Jidang by seeing a pond, a mountain stream and a path. Small artificial islands can also be see by visitors and tourist which are the symbol of past, present and future custom, culture and history.
• Palgakung: See an aritificial brook which has a width of 3 or 4 meters in Palgakung which is located in Traditional Woods inside Yeouido Park.
• Prize of King Se-jong: Because of his natural intelligent disposition, King Se-jone has made great contribution. King Se-jone made Hoon-min-jung-eum, the Korean script; Han-gul, which is regarded as a scientific and philosophical national treasure that include our spirit and wisdom. Also under his ruling, scholars and raftsman were treated preferentially; they invented and manufactured all kinds of human appliances such as a sun dial, a water clock and astronomical equipment including the first rain gauge in the world. The Prize of King Se-jong, which is for a person who has tried to abolish illiteracy by UNESCO, was picked out the name of the creator of Hun-min-jung-eum.
• Outside Stage: The Outside Stage is lcoated Natural Ecology Woods and Mun-hwa Yard, you can hold or see various events as your free space.
• Lawn Yard Pond: Enjoy the natural beauty and beautiful of the Lawn Yard Pond and its surrounding. See the evergreen trees and the forest. The Lawn Yard Pond is situated in the Lawn Yard inside the Yeouido Park.
• Taeguki Stand: The Taeguki Stand gives Koreans a patriotic sentiment and pride. It is located between Moonwha Yard and Lawn Yard. It has a height of 50M. A huge flag bar is highly fitted in the flag stand, so we can see our national flag, Taeguki, from the every parts of the park.

How to get there to Yeouido Park:

The Yeouido Park is open 24 hours a day all year round. If you want tot use the bike road, under path has been completed from Han river waters edge to Yeouido Park, you can come to Yeouido park via Han river waters edge by riding a bike.

Subway: Line 5 Yeouido station exit 3 National Assembly (5 minutes walk), Line 5 Yeouinaroo station exit 1 Kukmin Daily (5 minutes walk).
