Increased in Visitor Arrivals in Macau During National Day Golden Week

There is an increased in the visitor arrivals in Macau during the China National Day Golden Week compared to last year. The statistics was compared in the hotels occupancy from October 1 to 7 2009 in Macau. The 3 to 5 star hotels occupancy in Macau has reached 87.3% during the National Day Golden Week which has a 5.6 percent increased compared to the 2008 National Day Golden Week. The average room rate of three-to-five-star hotels was 1,226 patacas where it has a 15.46% increase and the daily average number of occupied rooms was over 15,000 an increase of 11.65%.

The statistics also shows the behavior of the tourists, travelers and visitors who traveled in Macau during the National Day Golden Week where most guests and visitors choose to stay in hotels.

During China National Day Golden Week, there are over 420,000 Mainland visitors arrived in Macau in this holiday period from October 1 to October 7, 2009. The statistics shows that it has a 2.12% increased in the Mainland visitor arrivals compared to the golden week holiday last year.
