Kinabalu National Park is one of the first national parks of Malaysia which was established in 1964. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in December 2000 for its outstanding universal values and its role as one of the most important biological sites in the world. Kinabalu National Park covers an area of 754 square kilometers which surrounds the majestic Mount Kinabalu which is the highest peak on the island.

Shanghai is a wonderful place to vacation, and countless people from around the world choose to travel there each year. Those on vacation will find a number of things to do while there, from sightseeing to shopping. If you have the kids with you, however, you might be looking for something that they will enjoy as well.
Kids of all ages love the animal parks around Shanghai. Two wonderful places to visit are the Shanghai Aquarium and the Shanghai Wild Animal Park.

Jejudo Island is a volcanic island which is the largest island in South Korea. It is also the smallest province in Korea. The focal point of the island is Hallasan which is the tallest mountain in Korea and a dormant volcano that rises 1,950 meters above sea level. There are 360 satellite volcanoes that are connected to the main volcano. The last recorded volcanic activity was recorded approximately 800 years. The entire island is covered in volcanic rock and volcanic soil from Hallasan. The crater and lake are located at the peak of Hallasan was formed over 25,000 years ago.

The Imperial Palaces of the Ming and Qing dynasties or more commonly known as the Forbidden City is in the heart of Beijing. It is the largest and most complete imperial palace and ancient building complex in China and the world. It was constructed in 1406 and was completed 14 years later and boasting of a history of some 580 years. Twenty-four emperors from the Ming and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties lived and ruled China from there. Most of the buildings in the Forbidden City were rebuilt many times, although they maintained the original architectural style.

Manas Wildlife Sanctuary is a National Park, a Project Tiger Reserve, an Elephant Reserve and a Biosphere Reserve. The park is well known for its rare endemic and endangered wildlife like the Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog.

Somapura Mahavihara is among the best known Buddhist viharas in South Asia and is one of the most important archeological sites in the country. It is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Since then, a series of UNESCO missions has regularly visited the site and helped with the maintenance and preservation project.
