Air Philippines Caticlan Flights Resumed, Ban Lifted by CAAP

One of the major domestic air carriers in the Philippines, Air Philippines, has resumed its flight to Caticlan after the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) lifted its ban on the limited use of Caticlan airport. Passengers going to Boracay via Caticlan can now flight with Air Philippines using the Bombardier Q300 turboprop aircraft.
With the resume flight of Air Philippines to Caticlan, it will fly eight times a day to Caticlan from Manila and twice a day from Cebu. Traveling to Boracay and other parts of Aklan is now very easy because of resume flights of Air Philippines. With the deployment of the Q300 turboprop to Caticlan, Air Philippines has adjusted its schedule to other domestic destinations as follows:
- twice a day flights Manila to Busuanga reduced to daily
- daily flights Manila to Calbayog reduced to thrice weekly
- daily flights Manila to Catarman reduced to four times weekly
- four times a week Cebu-Dipolog service reduced to thrice a week
- suspension of Cebu-Butuan, Cebu-General Santos, vice versa, service
Air Philippines currently utilizes a fleet of three 50-seater Q300 and five 76-seater Q400 turboprop aircraft which fly from:
- Manila to: Busuanga, Caticlan, Calbayog, Naga, Ormoc, San Jose (Mindoro), Tuguegarao, Virac and vice versa
- Cebu to: Bacolod, Caticlan, Cagayan de Oro, Dipolog, Iloilo, Kalibo, Ozamiz, Tacloban, Zamboanga and vice versa
- Zamboanga: to Davao and vice versa
